Neil Scutt

Neil, our Co-founder and Director of Training, retired from the Humberside Fire & Rescue Service in 2015 after 30 years as a full-time Firefighter. He has been a First Aid and defibrillator instructor since 2000 and brings to life his experience of all kinds of emergency incidents with his trademark approachability and sense of humour.

Having played football professionally and rugby to a high standard when he was younger, he has more personal experience of sporting injuries than he cares to remember! He also specialises in paediatric and outdoor pursuits first aid, as a qualified youth worker, summer mountain leader and level 1 kayak instructor.

When not teaching first aid, Neil enjoys nothing more than spending time with Katie and their two daughters. His other great love is golf, which sees him competing in national amateur competitions.
